We sent summer out in style with trips to the pool, time with friends, and one last blazing hot, sweat-your-brains-out trip to the park. Eli brought his soccer ball and had fun climbing.
While Jude enjoyed the swings.
And then we were sure to make the end of Summer 2011 memorable with a trip to a walk-in clinic...then the ER as Eli took a tumble at a birthday party and dislocated his elbow on Saturday. It took several tries to pop it back in, and after a very long night, our brave boy ended up in a splint for 5 days....just in time for back to school. Overall, Eli has been a trouper about it.
The bum wing hasn't slowed him down and he was even able to help me bake some Back-to-School cookies yesterday.
And today was the big day. Back to school for one last year of preschool. It was a shortened day, and Eli was having some mixed emotions this morning. Even some nerves....which I totally didn't expect. Lots of nervous energy.
Come on, Mom! Stop taking pictures! Let's go, already!
He had a great day, picking up right where he left off.
Such a big boy....my how he's grown!

Uh yeah....the boy is in the same shorts last year and this year. Haha! And it looks like I tend to stick to a certain color palette for the first day of school...but he picked his outfit this morning himself....guess he has his Mama's taste. :)
