six months old

Theo is half way to one...also known as the fastest six months of my life! They get faster with each baby. For real.

At 6 months, Theo:

He continues to grow well...getting chunkier by the day. He was 17.5 pounds and 25.5 inches long at his 6 month appointment.

Theo has mastered sitting up and is teething like crazy. His favorite thing to chew on...besides his hands or his shirt when I'm trying to get him dressed...is his banana toothbrush. With the amount of chewing and drooling, teeth will be here any day.

When he isn't practicing his sitting, he is practicing his rolling and his toe grabbing. I feel like his favorite position this month was FEET UP!

Theo is ready for food! All of a sudden he started grabbing at mine. With the new found interest and sitting skills, he will be trying his first foods this coming month.

Theo is still incredibly ticklish and gives some awesome belly laughs. Baby laughs are truly the best sound in the world. Besides Mama, Jude makes him laugh the most....the two of them really enjoy playing peek-a-boo. Theo also has started to enjoy playing with toys and grabbing his Mama's hair.

In addition to laughing, Theo blows a mean raspberry!

This month, Theo has decided that he does not hate tummy time and even prefers to nap on his tummy.

I sure do love all of these cute little details about this kid. He is so easygoing and incredibly easy on the eyes too.

If this second half of Theo's life is anything like the first half, we are in for a wild and incredibly fun ride.

four + five months old

I have fallen behind on my monthly Theo posts, so going for a 2-in-1 update.

Starting out with Mr. T's 4th month:

Our sweet Theo-boy is a-growing and a-changing everyday. He is arching his back trying to roll over, grabbing and swatting at toys, sucking his fingers or thumbs...he's not particular.

He's super happy and super sweet. He adores his brothers and loves to be held. He continues to nap well on the go and that is a blessing since we are always rushing to pick someone up, hurrying to drop someone off, or running a quick errand.

He measured 15 pounds 4 ounces and a little over 24 inches long at his appointment this month.

Sleep is all over the place! Some nights Theo will sleep a nice 6-8 hour stretch and other nights he is up 2-3 times. Sigh. Mama is super tired, but his smiley face looking up at me when I go to pick him up makes it easy to forgive him.

And Theo's 5th month:

This month, Theo really found his voice and started to laugh. He became very "talkative" and especially loves to talk with the ladies....a natural born flirt. He joins right in the conversation and has even been known to sing along with his brothers in the car.

Sleep did not change much this month. It is still pretty random. Thankfully, he nurses and goes back down pretty easily. Unfortunately, his naps took a hit this month. Boo. Oh well....such is life with a baby.

Sweet Theo is incredibly affectionate and loves to rub and scratch on you while you hold him. He can't get enough of Mommy's kisses and has started to lean in to get more.

By the end of his fifth month, Theo began to really roll both back-to-tummy and tummy-to-back. He has it down enough that he can no longer be left unattended on a bed or couch.

Though many days feel insanely long, the months are flying by. We sure do love our sweet Theo-boy.

three months old

Theo continues to fit perfectly into our family. I cannot believe how much he has grown and how fast the months are flying.

Here are some fun facts about Theo at 3 months:

Our handsome little man is growing and thriving! He is getting too big for all of his 0-3 months clothes and is ready for size 2 diapers too (signaled by his second ever blow-out on his 3 month birthday.)

Theo had his first sleep regression this month thanks to the time change. He has been sleeping worse than he did as a newborn, but things are looking up and I think he is settling back into a better nighttime sleep pattern. (Please!)

He is definitely awake more during the day and has started to enjoy laying on his play mat a bit. He seemed to forget how to roll over (tummy to back), but enough tummy time helped him remember that trick. The little stinker also loves to watch TV and will crane his neck to see it.

I adore it when they conk out in the middle of playing.

This month, Theo also celebrated his first Halloween by visiting pumpkin patches and dressing up as a lion. He was clueless but super cute and clueless.

Theo adores it when people talk to him or sing to him. This will usually bring a smile to his face. I cannot get enough of his smiles!

biggest smile EVA!

He continues to love his brothers and his brothers love him. Each of them asks to hold him regularly and is eager to help out...as long as there is no crying involved....then it is a little more challenging and they are less likely to want to help...but they do anyways. Mama loves her helpers!

Happy 3 months to you, Theo!

For fun: Jude and Jonah at 3 months

two months old

Happy two months to our sweet little Theo! Another month....gone...just like that.

Some fun facts about Theo at two months:

Yes, he does still sleep most of the day. It makes life a little easier for me, I won't lie...but I almost worry he has been sleeping TOO much. Nah! And besides, he does the sweetest things with his hands when he is sleeping. I just love it.

On top of sleeping all day, Theo sleeps well at night too. So far he has slept through the night twice and comes close to it most other nights. I cannot complain.

We had his two month check up this week, and he weighed 12 pound 3 ounces and was 23 inches long. That is up a little over three pounds and two inches since birth. He is still our longest babe by far, but he is no longer the biggest. He is growing well and doing great.

Definitely not a fan of the three shots though. Yuck. He settled right down after they were over but was fussy and ran a fever for a couple days afterwards. This first round always seems to be tough on my boys.

Theo remains a very happy, content, and laid-back baby. When he is awake, he is very easy-going and enjoys interacting and smiling with us all.

All of his brothers love him and are helpful with him. Eli is getting great at calming him, Jude likes to make him smile and tickle him, and Jonah likes to help out with his paci.

Goodness gracious, we just can't get enough of this sweet little gift. He has been lovingly nicknamed "Theo-boy" by Jude. Jonah picked up on it right away. The two of them like to sing it to him over and over when he gets fussy in the car.

We sure do love you, Theo!
