Just Beachy

That sums up our weekends lately.: Just beachy.  We have been down to the beach the past two weekends, and we are headed to a beach wedding this weekend.  Like I said, beachy.  Or as Jude would say it "b&#@ch"-y.  Yup. Pretty awesome mispronunciation, right?  It makes me giggle, so I repeatedly ask him if he wants to go to the beach.  To which he responds, "B&#@CH!"....very emphatically.  And he really does love the beach.

The first trip, we were accompanied by Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Kristi, and Uncle Steve.  A full house is always fun for everyone.  Jude was happiest running around on the beach or on the porch in his diaper.

We were down there early, so it was just the two of us for a while.  J truly was as happy as a clam and so content....sippin' from Mommy's Gatorade.  And just when the big fisher"boys" came down to join us, it was time to head up for the morning nap.

I honestly think that April, May, and June are my favorite beach months.  Just so gorgeous, but not melt-your-face-off hot yet.  Or maybe I should refer to July and August as the scorch-the-mess-outta-your-feet months.  That sand gets hot, folks.  And the breeze seems to disappear.  But for now, we will enjoy the perfect-ness of now....again and again.  So blessed to be able to share our paradise with loved ones so often.  Love having the place to getaway to and family close by to share it with. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Grandpa and Grandma!

And my sweet {..yet wacky...} babies are just plain spoiled growing up with the beach so close and so available.  They've never known any different.

A highlight of this trip was the fishing.  Eli loved it, though isn't the most patient fisherman just yet.  The boys had luck....finally....from shore Saturday night.  Eli caught the only fish of the weekend, a lady fish...."about this big."

A fun time for all of of the boys....big and small....fish or no fish.

The following weekend, we made a last minute decision to take a day trip down. Not our usual style, but we needed the pack-n-play that we'd left there.  A good excuse to return to paradise.

Since it was only for the day, I decided that any moments that needed capturing would have to be done with my phone.  It was an awesome day.  The weather was perfect and the boys played and played in the sand and in the surf. Side by side for much of the afternoon.

Can't complain too much when life is this "beachy."
