Celebrating Springtime

Squeezing in one more quick post before the wild weekend full of wedding festivities kicks off tomorrow. Our house is busy with all kinds of preparations this week, but not too busy to enjoy spring. Spring has been sprung for quite sometime now, but we are still getting around to celebrating all there is about it. Today it was eating our Chick-Fil-A outside and enjoying an ice cream to go. This past weekend, it was braving the crowds and heading downtown for the big Springtime parade and festivities. It was a first for both of our boys. They were so good and had an amazing time.

Eli was a natural at charming those giving out beads and treats. A sweet, though frantic at times, wave often accompanied by a "please" and "thank you" worked well.

A highlight for E was when the group dressed up as Star Wars characters came by. He even got to give Darth Maul five. To a kid who knows as much as he does despite not seeing the movies yet.....pretty darn exciting.

This little dude enjoyed the parade too....so much to see, hear and take in. Wonder what was going on inside that baby brain.

And now back to wedding central! Yay for weddings!! It is going to be a beautiful wedding weekend for Kristi and Steve. The weather has been absolutely beautiful, and we are praying it stays that way for Saturday. Of course there has been a lot of hustling and bustling this week as all of the final details come together.

Tomorrow all the sissies come in town, and the wedding weekend kicks off with its first parties. Ahhh! It is all just so exciting!

I'm not alone in the fact that I have been praying for this day for my sister for a long time. I cannot express how happy it makes me that she will be marrying the man of her dreams come Saturday. Feeling very blessed and thankful to be celebrating with them. God is soooo good!!
