My Kids Say the Darndest Things

Whenever Mommy says "We'll see" or "Maybe,"

Jude responds:

Jude knows not to push

the alarm button (the one

that looks like a bell) in an

elevator. We call it the

"n0-no button." While

driving, I hear Jude say,

"There's the no-no sign,

Mommy." I look over and

see Taco Bell.

Jude was wearing a fish

shirt and in an

argumentative mood;

saying the opposite

of anything I said, so I

tried to distract him and

asked what was on his

shirt....without skipping

a beat, "Not a fish!"

While at a parade and

hearing rhythmic

clapping, Jude asked,

"Are they 'Happy

and they know it?'"

On Easter morning,

M: What do you want for

breakfast? Eggs? Grits?

Jude (with a huge smile

and throwing his arms

up high): Candy!!!

E: Yes, and it is very funny.

my boo-boo on again?"
he says after insisting
he needs a band-aid it

After the first day of VBS, "I
forgot my friend-making

While watching a baseball
game, "I don't like outs.

After eating a lot for dinner,
"It looks like I've got a
Jellybean in my tummy."

Doug) asked Eli to hand him
his jeans,"You mean these big,

cause their parents didn't give

Aunt Kristi put his hat on

After being told "no" because
we had already listened to
"The Rocketship" song 5
times, "Mommy, you hurt
my feelings."

Sitting in morning traffic
and merging onto the
interstate, "Watch out for
jerks, Mommy!"

While pointing to his new
tricycle as we head out the
door, "I coming this!"

Through tears as the nurses
are finishing his shots, "No,
thank you! No, thank you!"

Mommy whispers in Eli's
ear as she often does, "I
love you!" Eli responds,
"I know."

Taking off Mommy's shoe
in church and sniffing,
"OOOO-WEEE Mommy!
Stinky piggies!!"
