Child of God

Sweet Jonah was baptized! From beginning to end, it was a special day and one that will be cherished. Jonah is blessed to have two amazing godparents {Cousin} Lisa and {Uncle} Steve. Jonah is a lucky dude to have these two, faithful Catholics as his role models.

And we were, of course, thrilled that Fr. Chris was able to play a special role in the day by performing the ceremony. We continue to be blessed by his friendship.

So Jonah is all clean from sin. He is a precious, adopted son of God. He has been marked as one who belongs to Christ...and no matter how often he sins, that mark will never be gone.

He is forever His.

The smell of the Chrism oil on a baby's head has to be one of the best smells EVER. And it lasts too. Mmm.

Our local family and a couple of friends were able to celebrate with us. We invited everyone back at our home for lunch and cake. Eli used some of his VBS crafts to make a sign for Jonah's special day.

Happy to have another little Catholic in our home. Thank you to all, near and far, who helped make the day a special one. A "shout out" to Lisa for flying in from Pittsburgh for the weekend. It meant so much to have you with us.  Truly a precious day.
