Brandon + Christine Get Hitched

In early June, we got up at the booty crack of dawn to catch a 7 am flight so that we could be a part of a special wedding day for our nephew, Brandon.  Brandon and Christine are a precious and fun couple that we just adore.  We did not want to miss out on their special day, and Eli was honored (or should I say, honoured?) to have been asked to be the ring bearer.

The boys did well on the flight.  Since we had to leave the house so early, we left the boys in their pj's hoping they'd go back to sleep.  No dice.  Jude didn't nap, until after we got in the car to drive the final leg of the trip.  The second flight was a bit long, and we had some screaming from the littlest man.  Oh well.  Sorry passengers nearby!

After a long 14 hours of traveling with 2 boys (that included stops at Duty Free and Tim Horton's, of course....we had to let Jude get his first taste of the yummy doughnuts!), we were thrilled to finally arrive at Aunt Debbie and Uncle Doug's....our gracious hosts....home.

Eli and Jude can't get enough of their cousins, and Brock and Brayden are so good with the little ones.  There were 4-wheeler rides, baseball practice, video games, and lots of quality family time.

The wedding festivities were the highlight of the trip, for sure.  From the rehearsal dinner with Canadian forces planes flying overhead to the gorgeous wedding that kept the rain clouds away.  It was all spectacular.

Wedding day arrived, and it had been threatening to rain all week....it couldn't have been a more beautiful day.  Everything was just beautiful.

Both boys spent much of their time running around in the grass, and that meant Mommy (and Daddy) spent lots of time outside too.  Note to self:  Do not wear tall shoes...even wedges....when you are chasing a toddler.  You will turn your ankle and then repeatedly fall throughout the night because of it.

Jude also made it clear that he liked the cupcakes.  He had 2!  And when not running around outside, the boys were tearing up the dance floor.  Eli had been practicing his moves, and though he isn't as good as his cousin, Brayden, yet....he was watching and learning.  He did manage to dance with several bridesmaids and his little buddy.  The boy even got kissed!  Ahhh!  And if you know Jude, you know he loves music and dancing.  He was movin' and shakin' along with everyone else.

Eli did a wonderful job as the ring bearer.  He has had a little bit of experience.  (wedding #4 with another one coming up in August.)  And Jude was a fuss pot who couldn't stand to be far from Mommy much of the weekend.  Ah, the joys of motherhood!  At least he loves me. And he won't be little for long....must enjoy the cuddles while I can.

What a wonderful trip!  Can't wait for the next family wedding.....luckily we don't have to wait long.
