Beach Baby

We feel incredibly lucky and blessed that we have the ability to go the beach whenever we can. My parents have a house at St. George Island, and we live close enough that it is an easy weekend get-away. Because of this, Eli has grown up at the beach; he is a beach baby through and through.

He loves the sand......Daddy digging big holes is his latest fascination.

He loves the ocean...no matter how cold.

He loves the down time to swing,

read,

or just be silly.

And we love the Eli loves the beach!
We love the "taking-a-break-from-life's-busy-ness" aspect of the beach. When we're there it as if there are NO CARES at all.

For this we are thankful.

elevator. We call it the

"n0-no button." While

driving, I hear Jude say,

"There's the no-no sign,

Mommy." I look over and

see Taco Bell.

argumentative mood;

saying the opposite

of anything I said, so I

tried to distract him and

asked what was on his

shirt....without skipping

a beat, "Not a fish!"

"Are they 'Happy

and they know it?'"

Sitting in morning traffic

jerks, Mommy!"

While pointing to his new
tricycle as we head out the
door, "I coming this!"

Through tears as the nurses
are finishing his shots, "No,
thank you! No, thank you!"

Mommy whispers in Eli's
ear as she often does, "I
love you!" Eli responds,
"I know."

Taking off Mommy's shoe
in church and sniffing,
"OOOO-WEEE Mommy!
Stinky piggies!!"
